Dr Megan Bruwer

Short Bio

Megan Bruwer is a transportation engineer and qualified with a B.Eng degree in civil engineering in 2008 and an M.Eng degree in transportation engineering in 2010, both cum-laude, from Stellenbosch University. After qualifying, Megan worked as a consultantengineer, involved in the design of rural and metropolitan public transport systems and road based traffic accommodation for new developments. Megan joined the Civil Engineering Department of Stellenbosch University as a lecturer in transportation engineering and the project coordinator of the Stellenbosch Smart Mobility Laboratory (SSML) in January 2015. Since returning to academia full time, Megan has enjoyed and excelled in her role as a lecturer. In 2017 she was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award presented by the Dean of the Engineering Faculty, recognising Teaching and Learning Scholarship, curriculum development and positive student feedback.
