The Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, of the University of Stellenbosch was appointed to carry out an investigation on the flood hydrology and river hydraulics of the Lourens River.
The GMT (Geotechnical, Management & Transportation) Section is at the start of a new project to assist Speelkring Pre-Primary School in Ida’s Valley to upgrade and repair playground equipment.
In 2010, BIng(Siviel) final year student Stephan Schoeman, designed and constructed a mechanical support for a gable of a historical house in Kayamandi, under supervision of Prof GPAG van Zijl.
